Accessing LRC Audio Files on the Web

Jump to: Overview | FAS accounts | FAS network access

Overview

Our on-line audio resources are limited by copyright agreements to the Harvard FAS network. You can access LRC audio directly from any FAS networked computer.

To listen from off-campus (which includes the Harvard Business School, Kennedy School, and other Harvard professional schools), you will need:

  1. an FAS computer account (cross-registered students, see information on applying for an FAS account below)
  2. access to the FAS network, either through a VPN client or the FAS modem pool.

Once you have network access to the LRC on-line audio files, you will need to provide a username and password. These can be obtained from your instructor or by stopping by the LRC front desk. You will also need QuickTime 5 or better. Please read our Using LRC On-line Audio guide for more info.

FAS Accounts:

The Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) Computing Services group handles all matters in regards to FAS computing accounts. Please refer any questions regarding FAS accounts to this group, not the LRC.

If you are a cross-registered student, you can apply for an FAS account. FASCS Cross-Registered Student Computer Account Information

More information is available from FASCS on their Who is eligible for an FAS account? page.
